We are excited to announce the opening of our new Indigenous Community Health Centre. Building on Laichwiltach Family Life Society’s work in our community to empower and promote healing, we will soon be opening a new Community Health Centre. This centre is being realized with the community and in working with partners to bring First Nations ways of healing, health and belonging to health care.

What’s the plan?

We are currently hiring for a number of positions for the Community Health Centre. We are looking for health care providers and staff who are committed to doing health care differently. For us, this means focusing on culturally safe an respectful health care that makes us feel well and like we are full partners in our own healthcare journey.

We anticipate opening the Community Health Centre in late early 2025. Our goal is to get the right team in place so that we can provide care five days a week, and be able to provide our patients with scheduled and walk-in appointments. The centre will be able to support patients with chronic care, mental health and substance use, complex care and everyday health questions, concerns and diagnosis.
